Upwork RSS Feed in 2026: Gone from Upwork, Back and Better with Vibeworker

Upwork discontinued RSS feeds on August 20, 2024. If you're looking for a way to pipe Upwork jobs into Feedly, Reeder, Thunderbird, or your own automation — Vibeworker has a personal RSS feed built in as part of every subscription.

Here's what it gives you that Upwork's original feeds never did.

What the Vibeworker RSS Feed Looks Like

Every item in the feed includes:

  • Job title and direct Upwork link
  • Budget — fixed price range or hourly rate
  • Match score — how closely this job fits your profile, as a percentage
  • Quick Win score — how fast and clean the job is to complete (0–10)
  • Job description — first 500 characters, enough to decide if it's worth opening
  • Skills required
  • Posting date

A typical item in Reeder or Feedly looks like:

Build a Next.js landing page with Framer Motion animations $300–$500 Fixed · 84% match · Quick Win: 8/10 Looking for an experienced Next.js developer to build a marketing landing page... Skills: Next.js, TypeScript, Framer Motion

Jobs are sorted by match score, not by recency. The first item in your feed is the best fit for your profile right now, not just the most recent post.

How to Get Your Feed URL

  1. Log into Vibeworker and go to Settings → API
  2. Generate an API key (takes 5 seconds)
  3. Your personal RSS URL is:
    https://tryvibeworker.com/api/v1/feed.xml?key=vw_YOUR_KEY

  4. Paste that URL into any RSS reader

You can also append &minScore=0.7 to the URL to only receive jobs with a 70%+ match score — useful if you want a high-signal feed that only fires on strong matches.

Why This Is Better Than What Upwork Had

Upwork's original RSS gave you: title, truncated description, timestamp, link.

What it never included: client payment verification, total spend history, hire rate, proposal count, skills tags, or budget. Those are the signals that determine whether a job is worth your Connects — and they were never in the RSS data.

The Vibeworker feed embeds a scoring layer on top of the raw job data. By the time a job hits your reader, it's already been evaluated against your profile. You're not triaging 50 jobs — you're reading 5 that have already passed a filter.

Other Ways to Get Your Job Feed

RSS is one of several delivery channels Vibeworker supports. The same scored job data is available however you want it:

Push notifications — get an instant alert on desktop or mobile the moment a strong match appears. The fastest way to be in the first five proposals.

Webhooks — send matched jobs to n8n, Zapier, Make, or your own backend the moment they're scored. Useful for building custom notification flows, logging to Notion, or triggering automations.

API — query your ranked feed programmatically. Useful for building your own tools on top of Vibeworker's scoring.

Who This Is For

The RSS feed is particularly useful if you:

  • Already have an RSS reader workflow and want Upwork jobs alongside your other feeds
  • Want a passive background monitor that doesn't require opening another app
  • Are building an automation and need a simple, standardized data format
  • Use AI tools heavily and want job context available in your existing setup

If you want the fastest possible response time, push notifications are still the primary tool — they fire in under 60 seconds from job posting. The RSS feed refreshes every 5 minutes when your reader polls it, which is fast enough for most workflows but slower than push.

The Setup Takes Under a Minute

Unlike the old Upwork RSS workarounds that required constructing search URLs and hoping the format still worked, this is three steps: generate a key, copy the URL, paste it into your reader. It works with every RSS reader that accepts a URL — Feedly, Reeder, NetNewsWire, Thunderbird, NewsFlash, Miniflux, and anything else.
